MAIN STREET RESIDENTS

Main Street draws its name from its former use as the main access point for bus traffic in and out of the building. In various-sized work spaces, product-focused companies have offices and shared spaces where they can work, grow and collaborate. Over 100 people come to work in Main Street at City Garage every day. Ranging in expertise and industry, these entrepreneurs represent Baltimore’s leading innovators from the companies and organizations listed below.

Balti Virtual
Built on a team of 3D experts, Balti Virtual is a virtual reality and augmented reality design studio that creates one-of-a-kind experiences for clients including the NFL, Under Armour and General Electric. Balti Virtual recently partnered with Universal Studios to create custom, Minion HoloTats for the launch of Despicable Me 3.

Betamore
Established in 2012, Betamore actively supports, launches and grows technology-based startup companies by delivering on three core pillars: incubation, education and community development. Its mission is to make Baltimore a global destination for entrepreneurship. Betamore has been home to more than 120 companies that have collectively raised more than $57M in venture capital. Its education and event offerings have served over 16,000 attendees and 160+ Academy graduates. Through its community development efforts, Betamore continues to support and engage more than 140 companies in the region. Through its Advisory Board, Betamore connects 97 of the region’s highest profile leaders to the Betamore membership to provide business guidance and mentorship.

Bustin Boards
Founded by Maryland-native Ryan Daughtridge in his father’s barn in Hagerstown, Bustin Boards is a grassroots longboard company designed by skaters and run by skaters. Since 2001, Bustin Boards has grown rapidly through innovative product development and marketing, which has led to the worldwide distribution of their boards, components and apparel. Bustin Boards has since earned a spot on the Inc. 500 list of fastest growing private companies. The mission of Bustin Boards is to develop the most advanced longboards and skateboards on the planet and offer friendly, personal service through their website and retail locations. Bustin Boards is currently working on launching Bustin Asia, through which they will sell boards in China and Japan.

EFynch
Launched in the Summer of 2016, EFynch is a resource for homeowners to search for local contractors, plumbers, handymen, installer, electricians, landscaper, and other home service professionals in the Baltimore region of Maryland. The EFynch app connects Maryland homeowners and contractors to communicate with each other and repair projects and emergencies on their home.

Hungry Harvest
Hungry Harvest is on a mission to reduce food waste and fight hunger in the United States. This produce delivery service recovers produce – fruits and vegetables that would normally go to waste for cosmetic or logistical reasons – from farms and wholesalers. Then, the team will triage, hand-package, and deliver these fruits and vegetables in variety boxes to customers’ homes, at a discounted rate. Hungry Harvest recently launched a new customization feature that allows customers to modify their boxes each week personally.

Magma Build Studios
The Mission of Magma Build Studios is to become an innovative provider of creative spaces for a vast market. Their designers and craftsman will envision, assemble, and install lighting, furnishings, fixtures, walls and flooring to create an amazing space. At Magma Build studios they have developed a patented method of fusing glass and metal, called Magma Bond. They use this method for many of their interior pieces, including their line of blown glass and metal faucets. The Magma Build Studios workshop and showroom is in City Garage.

Ready Robotics
Ready Robotics is a robotics software company spun out of Johns Hopkins University. Ready Robotics seeks to help small manufacturers unlock the power of robotics through its human-safe industrial robot, which boasts an intuitive user interface and plug-and-play capabilities. The Ready Robotics’ mission is to empower the American worker with easy-to-use, collaborative industrial robots. When Ready Robotics first moved into City Garage in June of 2016, they had four employees and a product still underdevelopment. Now, Ready Robotics has three versions of their finalized product, and they employ 14 people full-time. To date, they have raised $3.75 million in funding.

Sagamore Creative
Sagamore Creative is the storytelling engine that empowers all Sagamore brands, driving creative and strategic excellence across all Plank Industries initiatives. Sagamore Creative seamlessly integrates the highest levels of strategy, creativity and technology to revolutionize the modern brand. Designing with purpose and personality, Sagamore Creative delivers fresh human-centered experiences that are unique, energetic and results-focused. Whether building a global brand or designing an inclusive ecosystem, the team is exceedingly committed to the excellence of their work and the quality of the relationships they build.

Sagamore Ventures
Sagamore Ventures is the venture capital subsidiary of Plank Industries dedicated to support, counsel and capitalization with a focus on investments in Baltimore-based product companies. Sagamore Ventures manages the recruiting of tenant companies to City Garage and day-to-day operations of Main Street. Led by Demian Costa, the Sagamore Ventures team strives to support the entrepreneurs housed in City Garage by providing the resources and guidance to succeed.

Treason Totinc Co.
Treason Toting Company designs and manufactures canvas and leather travel goods including tote bags, backpacks, and travel accessories. Founded by Baltimore natives Aaron Jones and Jason Bass in 2013, Treason Toting makes timeless pieces for inspiring you to take your own path and explore more. When the pair founded the company, they set out to create a product that could carry the tools of their trade – the scissors, tape measure, thread, needle, laptop and notebooks they used every day. Now, their line of products reflects their combined experiences and spirit of defiance, aiming to shatter the status quo. Treason Toting Co. designs and manufactures their products at City Garage, and sells both online and at the Sagamore Shop on Thames located in the Fells Point neighborhood of Baltimore City.

Volo City
Formerly named Baltimore Social, Volo City hosts social sports leagues for adults in Baltimore and across the country to meet new people, stay active, and engage in their local communities. Through their nonprofit organization, the Volo City Kids Foundation, sports leagues are offered for children ages 6-12 years-old at no cost to their families, providing opportunities for children to learn, practice and play sports in a fun, structured environment. Partnering with local organizations, Volo City provides free meals following every game.

Workbench
Workbench is an education and community platform for fans of maker products like robots, drones, 3D printers, wood, nails and glue. Workbench community members make and create with the goals of sharing projects and successes and building product mastery while demonstrating deep subject understanding through planning, customizing, and building.

The Workbench mission is to make Project-Based Learning (PBL) accessible and scalable in schools, districts, and libraries across the globe. The solution reduces the burden on teachers who want to teach PBL by providing a straightforward framework for project authoring, delivery, and sharing coupled with a library of easily accessible projects teachers can leverage every day. Workbench not only provides districts with equipment for maker education and a secure hub to implement and share projects, but it also serves as the backbone for many of the Maker Education Industry’s top learning community including Sphero, Parrot, Makey Makey and SparkFun Electronics.

ZeroChroma
Founded in Baltimore, ZeroChroma designs and manufactures accessories for mobile devices with an ecosystem approach. Their cases, stands and mounts are sleek, highly functional, uniquely straightforward, utilitarian and blend seamlessly into your daily routines.
